This section is one very personal and special to me.  They are poems written by me in my own search for a closer walk with our Lord.

     Over the years I have often written emotions down on paper and miraculously, they even rhyme. My poetry has been a source of much comfort and also served as a journal of sorts. Many of the poems on this site were written during the darkest times of my life and reflect on my search for our Lord and Savior. They have also served to give me an insight into just how far He has brought me over the years. Our Lord is an awesome God. I know I am here today and have survived solely by His grace, mercy and love.

     People often ask me how I can believe in a loving, merciful God with all the tragedies I have faced in my life.   My reply is how can I not? If I did not have Him in my life, what hope would there be. But as you will see from the poetry here, it was not an easy battle. I struggled as each of you do. I often asked why? There were periods of my life I simply walked away. There were times I was angry, disappointed and chose not to believe. Fortunately His ego can handle it and He refused to give up on me. Actually, He is still working on me. I call myself a work in progress and there is much work left to be done.

      It is my fervent prayer that you too may find some comfort in these poems. Perhaps God will use my humble words to touch your heart as well. In The Midst Of Grief

We often ask why when we struggle with grief,
and wonder if God really hears.
Though He doesn't answer in ways we would chose,
you can trust He is sharing your tears.

He knows your confusion, your anger, and pain,
He experienced them all at the cross.
When His Son shed His blood, for you and for me,
God knew the true meaning of loss.

He will sustain you with mercy, with grace and with love,
till the day we will all meet again.
In our real home, in Heaven, free of sickness and death;
free of suffering, anguish and pain.

What a beautiful day, when we meet them all there;
oh, the joy, oh, the glory and love.
God will dry every tear, He will mend every heart,
in our real home, in Heaven above.

Touch Of An Angel

I felt an angel's touch today,
in the midst of my despair.
Twas sent by God, Himself, to say,
"be still and know I'm there."

To lead through days of darkness,
and light your way with love.
Be still and know, deep in your heart,
I'm reigning from above.

I'll lift you when you stumble,
I'm with you all the time.
I understand and share your pain;
remember child of mine,

The end is coming quickly;
the Lord shall soon appear.
To resurrect the righteous ones,
I love and hold so dear.

And bring them home, into a place,
where broken hearts are healed.
And promises I made to you,
will finally be fulfilled.

This life is but a spot in time,
a place for lessons learned.
Heaven holds the key to all,
your broken spirit yearns.

I sent an angel down today,
to show my words are true.
You're never far, beyond the arms,
of all God's love for you.
